Chaitra Sukhladi
Chaitra Sukhladi is a festival celebrated in the Hindu calendar month of Chaitra, which marks the beginning of the new year according to the Hindu lunar calendar. It is mainly celebrated in the North Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
On this day, people clean their houses, decorate them with flowers and rangolis, and perform puja (worship) to seek blessings for the new year. They also prepare special dishes and offer them to the deities.
Chaitra Sukhladi is also known by other names such as Chaitra Navratri, Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Cheti Chand, depending on the region in which it is celebrated. It is an auspicious day for new beginnings and is considered to be a time for renewal and rejuvenation.
